accessible to anyone wishing to play.
Schedules
The 2009 Indoor Winter session will start on Monday February 9, 2009. All games
will take place on Monday evenings and the season will run for 13 weeks. (2 weeks
of exhibition play, 9 regular season games and 2 week of playoffs) Games will
start at 8pm and run until 12am. There will be no games scheduled on Easter
Monday (April 13). All games will take place at Metrosports Centre - located in
the Birchmount/Ellesmere area. Directions to the facility can be found on the
FIELD DIRECTIONS page.
Cost of Registration
The cost of registration for the 2009 Indoor Winter session is as follows. Teams or players
who wish to supply their own uniforms or use their uniforms from previous
seasons will be required to pay $150/player. Teams or players who wish for
the league to provide them with uniforms for the upcoming season will be
required to pay $160/player. Uniforms provided by the league include a
numbered t-shirt.
For those registering a team, registration is on a first come, first serve
basis. once teams provide a deposit of either $750 or $800, depending on the
need for a uniform, your spot will be held for the upcoming season.
Again for team registration the league requires a minimum of 12 players per
team.
Team Notes
For the 2009
indoor season, teams will be fined $50 for their 1st defaulted game
as a result of not being able to field 4 players by the start of the game, and
$75 for their 2nd defaulted match. As a result, registered teams will be
required to post a $125 bond which will be due before the first game of the
season. As
well, fine payments for players incurring cards will automatically be subtracted
from the team bond. Should any team not have enough funds in their team bond to
cover the fine for a defaulted game or player fines, the team captain will be
required to provide the league with the amount to cover the difference before
the next game. Cash for any funds remaining in the team bond will be issued to
the TEAM CAPTAIN at the end of the 2009 season.
Random Notes
Teams will have until Monday March 9 to make
additions/substitutions to their roster. New players will need to fill in
registration forms and provide photo IDs prior to playing. After this date, only players with photos on the team game sheet will be permitted to play. If teams are found with unregistered players
on the field, your team will be assessed a loss for the game and
will be fined $50 from the team bond - no
exceptions. Referees will be checking rosters before each game. The
same rules will be applied to Exhibition games during the season.
Please make sure that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your games and are
ready to play at the scheduled game times. Once each team has 5 players suited
up on the field, the game will commence. As an example, if teams are not ready
to play and start the game 8 minutes late, the referees will be taking off 4
minutes from each half.
Referees will wait a maximum of 10 minutes for teams to suit up 5 players. If
there are not 5 players on the field after 10 minutes, the game will be defaulted.
After the game has been called, players from each team are free to play a
friendly exhibition match, however, referees will not call the game, and
the league will not be responsible for any misconduct that occurs on the field.
